Wood – Backyard Adventures
uses all cedar wood, a
premium lumber for outdoor
use. Our cedar is free of
toxic chemicals and
certified to meet and exceed
all ASTM standards for play
set construction materials.
Our lumber suppliers
practice sustained forestry
to ensure long-term
renewability and a healthy
environment. Our cedar is
superior in strength and
durability so your play set
will last longer. Cedar is
naturally resistant to bug
infestation, rot, and decay.
Before
After
We offer two maintenance
programs both plans include
a complete inspection of all
the wood and hardware
because over time as the
wood dry's it shrinks which
will cause hardware to
loosen also the longer the
wood is not treated it will
start to check which
customers sometimes mistake
cracking for checking but
it's not it's checking
which is natural it's a
process of the wood drying
out you can not stop it but
by treating it you can slow
down the process for example
take a look at a wooden deck
or fence you'll see them.
STANDARD PLAN A:
Tightening all the hardware
nuts bots and lags
etc. Then re-stain the Swingset
SUPREME PLAN B:
Tightening all the hardware
Power wash everything Then
re-stain the Swingset
We recommend to power wash
the swingset first before
staining whether customer
power washes it
themselves or our guys do it
because we spray it on with
our staining machine and if
it is not washed first all
the dirt grime and mildew
from being out in the
elements is just covered
up. POWER WASHING IS HIGHLY
RECOMENDED First we will
need a photograph of the
swingset emailed to us at
info@backyardadventuresofnewengland.com with your
contact information and a
brief memo of what you want
done and we will be in
contact with you or you can
